    Welcome to my classroom!

I am a Kindergarten teacher at Mifflinburg Elementary School.  This is my 20th year of teaching, 14 of those years in the Mifflinburg Area School District.  Ever since I was a little girl, I dreamed of being a teacher.  Now I get to live out my dream everyday!  Teaching is such a rewarding career, and I enjoy watching my students learn and grow throughout their Kindergarten year!  I can't imagine doing anything else!  I love my job!

I graduated from East Stroudsburg University in 1997 with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education; and then completed a master’s degree in Special Education from Bloomsburg University in 2002.

In my free time, I love spending time with my amazing husband and two children.  We enjoy playing outside, going to the beach, kayaking, riding bike on the trail, and having movie or game nights as a family.  My husband and I are also active members at Harvest Bible Chapel Union County, and enjoy serving in various areas throughout the church.

I have chosen to be a  teacher because I want to help kids learn and achieve their personal best.  I want kids to know that someone believes in them and that they really do matter. I want each child to feel loved and know they can make a difference!  My personal motto is If you believe – they will achieve!”  I challenge you – to take a moment and believe in a child, help them to reach their goals.  In the end, you will both be winners.
