  • Welcome to our Classroom!!

This will be my twelfth year of teaching for the Mifflinburg Area School District and I love it.  I have been lucky to spend all eleven years teaching in Kindergarten and at Mifflinburg Elementary.

I am a graduate of Wilson College, Chambersburg, with Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education.  In 2012, I graduated with a Master's of Art degree specializing in Curriculum & Instruction from Eastern Mennonite University from Harrisonburg, VA.

In the past I have experienced teaching through many ways. Not only while observing many classes during my college years and my student teaching, I have volunteered in a classroom during college and tutored after school. When I was younger, I served as my county's dairy princess and fair queen where I visited over 500 classrooms educating students of all ages about agriculture and farming.

I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.  I currently spend time on my family farm with my husband, Jason, my soon to be 1st grader, Lincoln, my three-year old daughter, Catherine (Catie), and two month old daughter, Charlotte (Charlie).  I enjoy listening to music, reading books, and being outside.

Parents, if you would like to visit our class, please send in a note or call the school.  We always welcome parents to help in our learning. Please remember that all volunteers must have clearances on file in the office.  If you don't    have those in, we can gladly help you to get them on file.

I hope you and your child are enjoying yourselves as you are getting ready for this new journey called “kindergarten life”!  There will be so many new things to learn and explore this year! Together, we will make this school year a successful one for your child! Kindergarten is such an exciting place to learn and grow and this year, you will see this growth in your own child.  I am pleased to be allowed to be apart of this exciting time in your child's life.

This is me!
