My classroom philosophy is that every child is important and everyone is capable of learning and achieving.

I am a graduate of Mifflinburg High School and I have a B.S. and MEd. in Elementary Education from Bloomsburg University.  While at Bloomsburg I played field hockey for legendary coach, Jan Hutchison, and was a player on the 1987 National Championship team.  My husband and I have been married since 1990 and have three sons. Spencer(2012), Clark(2014) & Cooper(2016) have all graduated from SUN AVTS & Mifflinburg High School. They are all busy working on their chosen vocations.  I began teaching full time in 1990 and have taught my entire career in the Mifflinburg School District.  I taught a variety of grades and subjects at the middle school before transferring to the second grade level in 2002.
