Mifflinburg eLearning Academy

Where the focus is on instruction and student achievement

  • The Mifflinburg eLearning program is created to give students and families flexibility in their education. We offer a k - 12 experience that aligns with Pennsylvania State Standards through Imagine Learning. The program is led by Alison Lorson. Alison can be reached at alorson@mifflinburg.org or 570-966-8336.

  • Are the lessons live?

    Posted by:

    Yes and No.

K-5 has live classes every day that students are expected to attend. They are about 1 hour long.

    6-12 are recorded lessons.

Both have tutoring options where you can work with a live teacher through video or chat.

  • Are there specific times when students need to log on?

    Posted by:

K-5 does have specific 1 hour meeting times.

    6-12 does not.

All students must stay on pace, which means working every day to complete the assignments that are due each day. If a day is missed, students can make it up on another day or over the weekend. On Monday's I take attendance for the previous week by checking to make sure all assignments were completed the week before.

  • How would a student get help with lessons if they need it?

    Posted by:

There are multiple ways. The teachers of these classes are great at contacting students through email and offering to call or connect through zoom meetings. There is also a tutoring sessions available where students can communicate with a teacher for help. They can come into our eLearning lab at the high school from 7:30 - 2:30. Students and parents can also contact me by phone, email, or Teams.
